Dr Sherby Clarke joined the Valley Stream Baptist Church family in November 2006.  Before joining VSBC Dr. Clarke served as a Pastor in New Jersey.  Before migrating to the United States, he served as a pastor in rural Jamaica for many years.  It was also in rural Jamaica that he began his formal seminary education, first at the Fairview Baptist Seminary, and also with the Evangelical Teacher’s Training Association, among other accredited institutions. 

After migrating to the United States, he continued his studies with Andersonville Theological Seminary earning several doctoral degrees including in Theology, Ministry and Pastoral Counseling.   Dr. Clarke is dedicated to the ministry of the gospel, in particular the quiet exposition of the word, and the equipping Christians for personal and mass evangelism.
